Tim Dwyer

From the front gate

you can barely see

Maggie’s cottage, hiding

in a garden of overgrown hedge

and haphazard trees.

The air is filled with songs

of many unseen birds,

a sanctuary surrounding

her weathered roof

and her peeling walls.

Tim Dwyer's poems appear regularly in Irish, UK and US publications, recently/forthcoming in Acumen, Cyphers, Masculinity Anthology (Broken Sleep Books), The High Window, Under The Radar. His chapbook is Smithy Of Our Longings (Lapwing). Originally from Brooklyn, NY, he lives in Bangor, Northern Ireland.
